Upper Control Arms: Adjustable vs Non

I am going to be replacing my upper control arms when my car goes in for her 75k maintenance and was curious.. is there value in getting adjustable control arms if i don't have any intention of dropping the car? (or are all upper control arms adjustable and i'm just an idiot)

Unless you don't mind replacing your tires more often due to inner camber wear.

Other than that you would need to be very particular with tire rotation. Which may require dismounting and remounting tires more occasionally to balance out the additional inner camber wear on the inside tire wall.

No reason to run adjustable control arms unless you are lowered/plan on lowering.

I didn't lower it and it replaced with a non one. Report shows one side is off a bit when i did the wheel alignment. Can't adjust more without change it to adjustable one, i was wondering change it or any other options

I just went though the same thing. I did non adjustable on 11/2014 and this January I couldn't get my alignment is spec. I just changed them for adjustable. Honestly I would just save yourself the headache and get the adjustable control arms and be done.

bs... unless your REALLY lowered or running bags... there is NOT really a reason to go adjustable.
that said... (RACECAR) well absolutely run the harshest most adjustable parts you can get.... just find a guy that can actually DO an alignment... remember fellas, a lot of these places have faulty/worn out equipment (catered toward DD cars) or some dumb @zz that dont know how to do anything that is NOT in the book.

Agreed. There's no reason a competent tech can't get you in spec with regular arms and no lowering. Hell, I'm lowered a bit and the master tech at my dealer was still able to get it damn near perfect.

Would I need adjustable uppers if I were to use b5 pirch plates on my s4 b7 with standard shocks and springs.

I need to replace them but don't know if I should get adjustable or standard.

i have b5 perches and non-adjustable with no problems... im even running a very wide tire details in sig

Actually setting the camber on these cars is quite difficult. The whole sub frame is losened and then shifted back and forth. It's not the equipment it's just a real pita to do it the right way.

I'm gonna go with the 034 oem density ones.
Need to get my fenders rolled first before I put the pirches on.

Where did you get the rebuild kit from. I didnt know you could get an upper arm rebuild kit?
Would worn control arms add to vibration? I have some around 120/130 kmh

034 adjustable arms are rebuildable. Go to their site and find the kit for $95. The arms themselves should last forever, it just the bushings and joints you need to replace every so often

You can replace the bushings but once the ball joint goes bad the arm is junk.
