Engine vibrations when revving in neutral

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
If i am in neutral and rev the engine past 3000 rpm it feels like the amount of shake/vibrations is a bit excessive.
Maybe its a normal amount of shake but it's enough that i am making this post :D

I just hit 75000 miles, any ideas why things are shaking? What i should be looking for?

Just rev north of 6000, all vibrations go away at that point.

most likely failing coil pack or bad plugs... possibly bad gas, try a good additive and see if you feel/see any difference

wouldn't he have misfires driving too ,with bad coilpacks ?

can't really comment on engine vibrations, I have 034ms race mounts,
I litterally feel EVERY single explosion inside the engine lol

did the vibration become worse lately , or you just never revved your engine in neutral ?

i run across bad gas all the time and it will cause a "roughness in sound and feel" but that is while reving AND driving... i just drop a can of chemtool b12 gas additive when i cant find shell or a place that has ethanol free

Yeah engine mounts. The fact it goes away with 6000rpm is simply due to harmonic frequencies.

It could also be your serpentine belt

the guy who said all vibrations go away at 6000rpm wasnt me (and i thought he was just making a joke)

the serp belt actually was just recently done...
i did have the feeling that the engine was vibrating/shaking more afterward but i also couldnt recall if it was or wasnt shaking like that before having it done.
