Was looking at it the other day, now this.

Went back through the site, sure enough it's no longer listed.

Sorry, link didn't work. Anyway, see fit yourself

    Here you go:

I'm honestly kind of bummed, I'm still at least a year away from ditching the k04 framed ring, but I was leaning strongly this way.

I am actually very happy with the quality of it. (Although I havent put any miles on it yet.) The welds look great (Better than 034's from what I can see in pictures). It is also made of 314 instead of 304? that I think 034 used.

To be honest, there is a reason why a single turbo kit was never mass produced for this chassis. Stuff is way too tight to have it fit every car. All it takes is to have the subframe shifted from one car to the next and stuff isn't fitting right. When I originally set my car up for single, I thought, hey maybe...
As it went along I realized this isn't going to work for most people without a bitch fest following install. 034 probably just didn't want to deal with it for cost/benefit ratio. It will probably be easier for the unoriginal project b5 kits to sell. People will probably be okay with hammering pipes or having to take a pipe to their local welder when the kit only cost six cents.

Not sure why the saltiness towards the PB5 kit. That's competition at work.

It's not like 034's kit was of astounding quality, either, so I don't think it will be missed too much.

The saltiness comes from Pb5 buying a kit sending it to the chiccoms to copy, marketing as their "own" and recselling the 034 kit in the classified.....if you call that competition then I sure hope Trump makes it to the finish line and parks the Chicoms

Sounds like a smart business move to me. Can't get salty over someone outsmarting the system.

Yeah, same here. As long as they are braced, I see no problem. I will be able to put some miles on it here within the next month though and will make sure to post my findings.

    I am PB5

I sent no 034 kit to China, lets make that clear!

*My kit has an atmospheric dumptube, dual flex sections, deleted egt bungs & the downpipe has an extra provision for a WB02 sensor (or plug - included)

I have nothing against 034, maybe they got sick of all the flex bellows blowing out and fixing them... or maybe it was the un-pleasable owners?

Beats me, but we all know the community has driven down the value of the 2.7 platform tenfold.

Just like AWE, APR, etc discontinuing 2.7 support, you'd be blind to not understand why.

I still love you all, salty or sweet!

Boom goes nothing. I'm sure all of you will love the quality kit he makes. I'm only saying nothing original comes from companies that function like that. I guess most people are fine with that now days. No worries on my end. As my 4 year old used to say...I can do it by my own self.

It is a shame, in the relatively short time I've been around here I've seen some of that first hand. But it's still great enthusiasts like you are around to continue where others left off.

Sure it will. I just like life outside of Audi land still. If it was just about sticking a simple turbo kit in, it would have been done years ago in a couple weekends. I would venture to say very few would go to the extent I have in building the car. Not everyone will even like what it is. It's been fun and it will get done. There would be zero sense in ever getting rid of it.

The PB5 STK was designed & produced by myself here in MA.
    - Yes, I sent it overseas for mass production.

What some people don't realize is that there is such a thing as good and bad Chinese/Taiwanese/Burmese/Malaysian/etc facilities, I've been doing this for years & have it down pat.

I think you'd be amazed at what comes out of even China, brands you'd never imagine producing everything there.

FWIW: If I made them in house I'd have to charge everyone an arm and a leg, which would be a waste of time with the current state of the 2.7 market.

I have 20+ kits out there, builds are surfacing. If I was allowed to post in the build forums I'd post up some of my own for you all to see.
-I did use to be an advertiser on here until the "bigger brands" complained, in which I was refunded with no explanation & account banned... I guess they didnt like a piece of their pie being eaten up. (& these days you see these brands dropping support for our vehicles left & right, while I'm still here turning wrenches & burning metal related to such)

I dont get the hate, Marshall, I always have admired your longterm build. Cant wait to see it done.

    2016 means STK's for everyone.
