Is your passenger side fog grille mis aligned?

    Hey guys,

So I was installing some Hoen H11 endurance yellow fog bulbs on the car this morning. (Quick painless job by the way to swap bulbs, T25 torx head, rubber gloves and 15 minutes) and upon completion I noticed my passenger side fog grille seemed kind of off, with respect to the driver side one. See pictures below.

    Perfect Driver side:

    Crooked passenger side?:

It almost seems like it's meant this way upon my analyzing. The driver side grille is "open" with the cooling core behind it therefore the removal of this side is as simple as reaching in and lifting each tab away from its latch point and then just pulling it away from the car. Where as the passenger side is closed and I believe needs access from behind the wheel liner or needing bumper removal to take off the grille. Which I did not do.

Just wanted to check in with you guys if anyone can confirm this is normal or has run into the same thing and how did you fix it. I put pressure on the passenger side, tried to push and pull but it's for sure secured in place.

Just strange that it doesn't sit against the bumper as flush as the driver side.

Any replies or info is thanked in advance

Very strange. Well thanks guys for clarifying. Guess I'll just leave it alone then lol.

I swapped out my Fog lights yesterday also & thought they seemed a bit askew. Now you have just confirmed what I was thinking! Also there were a shit load of leaves trapped behind the drivers side light blocking the inter cooler. Will make a habit of cleaning it out from now on.

Funny even on my B8 2010 S5 my passenger side is like that lol. When I dry the car and shammy that area with pressure it has a small bit of wobble compared to the driver side and doesn't sit flush compared to the driver side.

Learn something new everyday, funny though. I bought maybe a clip was broke & didn't want to mess with it and break another haha.
