apologies if this was discussed before. I did search and didnt quite find what i was looking for. I havent been on audizine in quite sometime now so I need to start reading these forums again to get a feel of the S6.
A bit of a background, started with audi back in 2003 with the B5 S4, B6 S4 and back to B5 S4 avant... fast forward 3 years after that to now... 2 mortgages and 2 kinds later, ive fully converted to BMW. Still have my e46 M3, wife has an new x5 and I just unloaded my '12 535i xdrive. Given that ive had bmw since 2008, ive been reading the bmw forums more. i was looking to upgrade my 535 to a M5. Ive read the pros and cons of the car and very familiar with it now since ive been researching this car since middle of last year. The M5 seems to be very stable and reliable car and would not worry about dropping money on it (maintenance aside).
Shifting gears a bit and the S6 kinda came into the play. The pricetag on the S6 is significantly less than the M5 and with pretty much on par performance with the added bonus of awd. The driving portion I can figure out once I start driving it so my question is reliability. I understand the S6 and S7 share the same platform so I dont mind hearing from both owners.
Please share your joy and pain points with the S6. Any comment is appreciated.
