    Low Oil Pressure Light! FIXED!

I'v searched and searched for answers and haven't found much. My B5 S4 2.7t was stolen and when i got it back they repaired the body and ignition but when i went to pick the car up on my way back the low oil pressure light came on and the speedo was going all over the place (I replaced my vehicle speed sensor the day before it was stolen). A couple of days later I tested the oil pressure using a mechanical gauge and I was reading around 3 bars at 3500rpm which seamed fine i then put a new OEM sensor in and refilled with oil.
This did nothing so i had a very respectable audi shop take a look and they told me it was most likely the instrument cluster, so then i sent my cluster to BBA reman and they tested it and they found nothing wrong with the cluster at all...

I'm very lost at what i should do I may bring it back to a shop and get them to diagnoses it but they told me they would probably put a new sensor in so ill just do that my self when my cluster gets back next week and then test pressure again and drive the car this time so i can get a better reading. I'v read that peoples oil pressure sensors are bad straight from the box anyone had that problem before?

BBA was telling me that the a4 has a circuit board behind the cluster that might be the problem but i dont see or know of any.
Also what pressure should i be looking for when im driving?
Can I test the ECU/ECM myself?

    any info will help thanks

3bar (~45psi) at 3500rpm seems correct. Here is a graph made by member Monty23 of his oil pressure.

I'd likely try a new sensor and see if that fixes it.

Also, I'd make note of the low oil pressure with the insurance company so that if you actually are having low pressure and you end up with a blown engine in the near future, they'll have it documented that it was present immediately after getting the car back (assuming it wasn't declared a total loss and then bought back)

Thanks LINDW4LL, yeah i told the insurance company all about my problem they said i need to prove that it was caused by my car being stolen.
I'll through in a new sensor but i was thinking it my be a ecu problem because of the speedo/oil pressure combo
