    What is the average price for a downpipe installation on an S3 8V? I understand this will vary but I am trying to get a ball park figure.

    I was quoted $450-500 by the same shop that did my springs. I think they could have given me a better price.

    Varies greatly on the area you live in, but also how easily the DP fits correctly. Some say the BB DP needs some finessing to fit correctly which the $$ you saved on it will cost you more in install.

    If I was quoted only $200, I would have already ordered a downpipe. $500 seems unreasonable at this point...

    500 is nuts, I paid more than I wanted but I got it done by a shop that I really trust so I was willing to pay a bit more because of that

    shop around it should not take a shop anymore than 3hrs

    Shouldn't be charging you more than 3 hours of labor. Given, the driveshaft needs to be disconnected and a few heat shields removed, its not that big of a project.

    My USP downpipe fit perfectly.
