A4 B7 cold start issues.

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out what could be wrong with the car.Unfortunately not even the mechanic is able to find the problem.I'll attach a video so you can all hear the noise.It only happens when the engine is cold and it seems that the noise comes from the right side of the engine and from underneath.It does not always happen and only lasts for a couple of minutes and than all good again.If you guys have any suggestions I'd really appreciate that. When you say the "right side" of the engine, you mean the driver's side or pass side? If you mean passenger side, I'm thinking turbo.

If not, pull the serp belt and start it, still have the noise? If so, take a good look at the timing belt.

Yes, I mean the passenger side.I'll try all these things.Thank you

Starter not dis-engaging? Might explain why it is intermittent. That or the turbo. Try a stethoscope, might be able to narrow it down
