I read on Wikipedia, naturally 100% correct, that:

A variant, developed by quattro GmbH, was first introduced in May 2005, named "Audi A4 DTM Edition". It was inspired from Audi's race cars of the 2004 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, and was reintroduced in 2006 as a regular option. The 2.0T FSI engine received revised software mapping to the ECU, which increased the output to 220 PS (162 kW; 217 bhp) and 300 N·m (221 lb·ft) of torque. It was available with front-wheel drive, or quattro four-wheel drive.

Can one copy the ECU flash from a DTM and apply it to other 2005 vehicles?

Anyone heard of this?

The Dtm engine is different and has better internals as well (also has a different engine code)

I believe in most of the world the DTM got the BUL motor, not the BW. But in South Africa it has the BW with software to get it to 162kw.

I would just get software from one of the bigger guys and call it a day

Hey mate,hows the work going /Ill jump to the other thread and have look in a sec.
My engines a BWE,I thought all Aussie B7 2.0's had a BWE ? I'm confused now..
Was yours an import or maybe CVT's had a different motor?
Having said that I just bought a SH Ebay grille for my mesh conversion from a guy in Melbourne for $20 !!, got it here and its got a Euro filler ,Ive never seen a car here with that filler plate ?

Yeah, mine is definitely the BPG engine. Forged etc.. Which is nice I think. I have updated my work log in the other thread, coming along nicely. Remaining parts arrived today, just waiting for the RS4 PRV for the HPFP.

Have you ever noticed a Euro plate filler on a car here ? It would be very noticeable except if the car had the Mega-sized optional plates that can be bought from the RMS for some outrageous price..
You don't see many of them on Audi A4's though.

You could, but I don't see why you would. The engines are more or less the same as far as I found, differences similar to normal engines from
different years. You would get more performance from a Stage 1 flash than from the BUL SW flash
