    Mongoose Cable help

    Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    I received my Mongoose cable, Vehicle Interface Cable, and I am trying to activate it. It is failing when it tries to talk to the server. I am running Windows 10, firewall is off, using IE and have tried Edge, all drivers are installed and installation goes fine until final activation. Has anyone else had this problem and know the solution? Thanks

    What software are you trying to use it with? It might help to contact them. Work EPL, their software needs activation before use. To do that, you send them your serial number.

    Yes EPL. I shot an email to Drew Technologies a little while ago with this, waiting to hear back.

    I went to the website on the instructions that came with the box. That seems to do the trick.

    I do wish EPL gave better instructions on the whole process (website?)

    Ya I did follow the instructions, it fails at the last step as it says it cannot contact the server from Drew Tech

    The EPL website is "Coming soon"

    I believe this is a Windows 10 issue. There was a thread similar to this not too long ago and the guy resolved the issue by switching to a tablet using Windows 8.1

    I will try it on a Windows 7 machine on a different network and see if that fixes it.

    I just did this with Tony at EPL. I have windows 10 and everything worked perfectly.... email Tony he will help you.
