    Question Questions about resonator delete?

So I have had my Milltek exhaust on my car for about 4 years now and i love the way it sounds. I have an 034 motorsport HFC but im just looking for a little more oomphh to it. I was thinking about deleting my resonators on it but I'm afraid to cut them out and then not like how it sounds afterwards. I tried searching the forums for a video of a b6 1.8t with a milltek exhaust with the resonators deleted but couldn't find anything here or on youtube. I'm just wondering if anyone has done this and has a video or sound clip to help with my decision. Thanks!

By oomph, do you mean power? Because you will gain absolutely nothing by removing the resonator. What you will gain is pretty bad drone at cruising speeds. If you want more power and you dont have emission testing, you can go with a test pipe. You will gain a few hp and tq. You will also get a little more turbo whistle.

Im well aware that removing the resonators will do absolutely nothing for power. By ommph i mean just a bit louder. I just find it a bit quiet and want it a little louder. We have regular emission testing so the test pipe is a no go, although that would probably be easiest solution for a bit more power and sound. Obviously i want as little drone as possible cause right now there is absolutely none. Do you think by removing the resonators it will make it unbearable to drive?

Miltek is designed to be a modest exhaust, for more sound you might consider going with a different setup. If you still have the stock cat, switching to a high flow cat will net performance and sound.
