I'm pretty sure it's just a change in color of LED bulb...should be simple enough. But don't know how simple it is to open up the panel to get access to the LED.

My wife's new Q7 has adjustable colors covering the spectrum via MMI. Pretty slick and color looks good in the car.

You're right, man, that sounded braggy and that wasn't my intent. I was just pleasantly surprised how good a variety of different colors made the car look. It was an unexpected feature and I liked it. Never thought I'd give a shit about interior LED lighting but I have to admit it looks good.

We're like garage twins now apparently.. Love the new Q7
Wife is away on vacation with the kids (I was away on biz last week and couldn't do two in a row) so I drove her ride to work today. It's awesome, so much better than the 15s, looks be damned. They've grown on me

Yeah I saw the new Q7 in person and damn I love it. Someday I will replace my 08 with a new one. And no worries I was just making a joke :).

Heck yes. Any apprehension I had about the change in appearance of the new Q7 has been trumped by how much nicer the vehicle is on so many fronts. Most importantly, wife loves it.

Yes, the new one. '17... You can set a preset color or select from a full spectrum I believe. Haven't messed with it much

On a side note, and not to compare a Mini with a Q7, but the Countyman has had this feature since they were launched. Ok I will get back in my box.

That is bad ass. I was looking for that option when I took my S6 home and I was surprised to find only white.
My 30K MINI cooper had that feature and I really liked it. Depending on your mood you can change the interior
lighting. I would love to have that feature on my new S6. It could be just a software add hopefully.

That is pretty sweet. Trying to convince the woman to go with the new Q7, but she seems set on a CPO previous gen. She tells me the savings will allow me to buy more guns. Hard to argue with that thinking.

BTW the rs7 performance does NOT have blue interior lighting, its the same white lighting in the other cars unless Europe gets that as an option

That is a European model as its temperature adjustment is in Celsius.
Going back to the OP's question, has anyone done this?

Did any of you guys cross shop the Q7 with the Volvo XC90? We got that for my wife back in October and the Q7 wasn't out yet. I would have never of owned a Volvo before the release of the XC90 but I have to admit it is also a pretty dang nice car. And it seems when I build a q7 and XC90 that the XC90 is like 10K cheaper for very similarly equipped models. Also the Volvo gets the Bowers and Wilkens!!!!

Just curios if you guys happen to look at the Volvo and what your thoughts were?
