Was wondering if i could tighten this bolt with load on the suspension? I heard a clink after picking up my car from a shop and looks like they forgot to tighten up the top strut bolt

I would recommend picking the car up.

I've heard it's better to preload the suspension always before tightening anything back. Dunno if that applies to the control arm but I practice that method

That bolt really doesn't matter as that bushing will never rotate. Tighten away.

Ok thanks guys, my car has a reiger kit on it so jaking it up without a special jack is a no go so that would be nice to be able to keep it on ground. But after trying to get to it it seems very had to do with wheel on. So im prob guna have to bring it to the shop down the street.

Its always something with my cars lol

Now just realized when i went to snug it up before i left to go to that they used a different bolt/nut on the strut to braket bolt.
One nut has a washer built into it and one is just a nut.and pne tip pf the bolts flat while the other is pointed. What goes where?

I bought fromt and rear ecs suspension instalation kits. So the shop had all new bolts to work with.

It would be awsome to figure out if this will be fine or if i should move bolts around to the rifht location. What nut and what bolt should be used on this loction?

I found out where each bolt/ nut goes. Looks like a fron nut in the rear. And a bottem bolt on the top on one side?

Obviously i should go back and put thinks where they belong? Or shouldo leave them since they were all stretch bolts that were new.

All bushings need to be tightened when the suspension is preloaded. If it is not, the bushing will be twisted all the time, and it breaks sooner. Take the wheel away, and put something under the suspension arm and put the car on top of that. Then tighten the bolts. (loosen first when lowering).

Not for the strut bushings because they do not physically move

    This

Everything else needs to be tightened with the suspension loaded up or you will destroy your bushings in a matter of months
