Traction Control Light - Brake Light Switch?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey Guys,

I've noticed over the past few weeks, at times my traction control light will pop up intermittently for what appears to be no reason:

Doing a quick scan, I see the following codes in the ABS module:

Did my due diligence, and found that it is linked to possible brake light switch via the Ross-Tech wiki:

    Ross-Tech Link:
    http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index...it_Malfunction

Since this is happening intermittently (few times a week), just want to confirm if it is the brake light switch....or something else going on?

Thanks in advance for everyone's time and help, it is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Asif

Well the brake light switch is a part that fails often.
Quite cheap as well. Just replace it and see it the problem goes away.
I had the same code at one point, new switch solved that problem. ( as far as I can remember, it was the same 00526. )
