Can I give you guys a tip?
When shopping for a new car, you never negotiate from MSRP down! MSRP means nothing! You should bargain from INVOICE up. Even invoice nowadays is sketchy. Car dealers do not pay invoice for their cars. They get all kinds of incentives, bonuses and commissions when they sell a car. When they get you to lease a car through Audi Financial, they are tossed a bone. So, if you know how to play their game, you will very likely be able to get the car for below invoice.
Walk into a dealership on a Friday afternoon (preferably near the end of the month). Bargain like you just don't care. Tell them you are shopping around, and this is the first of several dealerships you plan to visit. And be prepared to walk out the door if they don't bend over backwards to give you the deal you want. Believe me, they don't want you to walk out that door ... with the possibility that you'll visit another dealership.
Most of all, don't act desperate. Let them know you have all the time in the world and don't be afraid to walk ...
