    Found an affordable 18' LW wheel, but center cap won't fit.. suggestion?

    Heyy!

    Bought my PSS 245/40/18 tires today. Went to buy my rims I was looking for and ... huge bummer !! The company said if I get the 18x9 +30, the center cap will fit. But some people on here reported that I should/could be getting rubbing issues. The 18x9 +40, which people on here have reported to be without any issues whatsover and a safe fitment, can't be fitted with the center cap.

    1) Can I fit another center cap ? custom one ? I don't really feel like driving a luxury sedan without center cap..

    2) Any other LW wheels under 1k$ as a suggestion !?

    Theses wheels were under 1k$ CND, warranty for 3 years, flow-formed 18.6lbs, exact replica design of the AG M580.

    By the way, my car is OEM as of now, but already bought Bilstein PSS10. I plan on setting the height to the maximum possible as my goal is to have a ''Planted feeling'' '' on rail'' than for the lowering aspect of the coilover. so the closer to stock possible will be just fine.

    Thank you folks! Happy modding ! :)

    It seems like an entrepreneur with a 3D printer would be all over this need. Would it be difficult to pull the specs from a wheel and print/paint center caps?

    Good Idea! Is the oem cap too big or too small?

    The issue likely isn't with the center cap itself, so a modified or custom one probably won't work either. More than likely the hub extends too far through the wheel centerbore, and there is not enough space to physically fit a center cap there without shaving down the part of the hub that protrudes through (which I wouldn't recommend).

    Exact same thing happened to me with my Avant Garde M550. I was missing maybe 1 or 2mm to "clip" the center caps enough so that they wouldn't pop out. So the options were buying 3mm spacers or trim.
    I didn't had the chance to actually choose because the shop installing my wheels went ahead (without my actual consent) with the trim and it worked perfectly. After looking at it I was fine with their decision since it was merely a quick buff which didn't cause any structural issue, basically only aesthetic was affected..

    Does the wheel not come with a center cap that could be modified/painted or an Audi sticker/emblem put over it?

    I'm surely not the first to have this problem right ? :)

    I spoke again with the garage and they said ;

    1) Check on audizine if a +30 is going to rub on a 245, 1/2 to 1 inch drop.

    2) Fit a 3 or 5mm spacer to allow the cap to clip. This way I would pick the +40 with a 5mm. I would be +35 right in the middle.

    Spoke with this issues with a friend of mine and he said he's running +35 18x9.5 on H&R spring and have no issues with rubbing. Said, worse, you will remove the screw in the fender.
