    Bumper filler plates?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Where is the cheapest place to find the factory bumper filler plate?? The cheapest I have found it so far is $180 which is still absolute crazy talk for such a small plastic trim piece... The guy who owned this car before me made the biggest, sloppiest holes in mine like an angry third grader and I'm just trying to replace this eyesore. HELP

I've got a brand new primed one ready to paint still in the OEM AUDI plastic if you're interested. i was going to return it to them, but I can get it to you at a decently discounted price

Why dont you just get the holes plastic welded, filler and paint it.

The holes are like almost 2 inches wide each and would probably look like poop if I tried to fill them... It would be much easier for me to just replace it and start from scratch. If I had the time and materials to do that on a spare, I would probably try it one day. My plate is pretty full at the moment.

It will be doable, but just like you're saying it will cost some time yeah, or money to get it done.

Was just pointing out an other option ;)

Just got some bits on my s4 bumper cleaned by plastic welding.

Hard to see there, but will the filler plate suffice when blending out the front bumper?
I see that it is plasti-welded in there, but do the contours match so well that very little filler is needed prior to paint?

Yes, really small gaps are left around.
Normally this guy uses just a sheet of plastic to weld in to clean bumpers, but then you'll have to reshape with filler, which is not the most ideal situation.
Now it's just some small gaps that need to be filled.

You guys should call your dealer and ask what their price is, in europe these cost around 100 euro's... I don't get how ECS can ask 241 usd, thats damn expensive.
