    Hi all!

Excited to finally be a new car owner. Wife and I decided to go with a Audi SQ5. I just wanted to get some general advise for maintenance. We want to keep this car in great condition.. We'd love to receive some advice!

    Info about our driving habits:

-we don't plan on really pushing the car until about 1000 miles on it
-morning times are very short drive (Chicago)
-never really have long drives (over 10 minutes)

    Couple of questions:

-should we warm up our vehicle prior to driving? Like 30 seconds to a minute?
-if we are driving shorter distances, should we change the oil more often than the recommended?
-any other advice about general maintenance and things to look out for with an SQ5?

Sorry, we are new to this car thing. Anything would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Peter

Wow, what a first car to buy! Very envious of the SQ5. The best way to keep your car running like new is to follow Audi's recommended service intervals. I would however, adjust their recommended oil change intervals to every 5000 or 7500 if you want to stretch your budget. Use a best synthetic oil you can afford and the OEM filters should work great. Also, don't beat on the car. You bought a high revving SUV, not a ferrari so there's no point to drive it, like some will say, "drive it like you stole it" mentality. Reach out to your local Audi enthusiast you has a VagCom cable and have them start customizing your car. You'll get more pleasure from ownership that way.

Enjoy the little beast you have!
