already use to power after 1.5 weeks!

So wanted to see if you guys went through this as well, I'm guessing so seeing how many tuned cars there are on this forum. So I came from a GS 350 Lexus and for the first couple of days I was thinking to myself "Wow i don't even think I need to tune this car" Its sooooo fast! But now it seems fast but apparently I got use to it cause it doesn't seem nearly as fast as when I bought it. Now I still have my Lexus for another month or so and when I drive that it feels like an absolute turd compared to my S7 but I really didn't think I would get this use to the power only after a week of ownership.

Is this just how it goes or what?

It is always like this my friend. Lol. I had an A4, wanted more power and better luxury, got the A6. I was like damn this car is quick. Then within months I wanted more power, got stage 1. Traded it in right before I was gonna get stage 2. Now I have a 2016 and I am waiting for the tune. Lol

I thought I was pretty quick until I went on an Audi cruise yesterday and watched everyone pull away. Let's just say I was in the back pushing on the governor just to try and keep up on the straights.

Using a VAG-COM cable, check that you don't have any fault codes. This engine can go into limp mode and not display a CEL. Even if there are no engine fault codes (DTC's), clear the engine faults anyway, and then see how it goes. Please report back if you notice a difference.

Loved the Staved Rock Video. I grew up 4 miles from there. You found the covered bridge too! I am impressed.

If you're a junky like many of us, there is never enough. I'm coming from a 600chp/Tq B5S4 I daily drove for 7 years. The car easily pulled much harder than an RS5 or modded B8S4 by comparison, (mid 11s with slow shifts). I now have a stg1, will be stg2 3.0T A6 this week. I've come to learn to be happy with what you have. I say that as I mod but I know what to expect and know that that is about as far as I'm going to take it.

The C7 is not a sports car and I don't plan to make it something it's not. Of course a little extra reliable Hp is always a big plus but as anyone knows, you get used to it no matter how much there is. Now when I have the urge for some real speed, I call one of my buddies with their crazy builds and go for a ride. It's cheaper and sometimes more fun to be in the passenger seat, (not being in control makes it frightening and exhilarating). Plus I have two friends with small cars that are making in excess of 800AWHP. That kind of power does actually seem to be enough but as soon as you get beat by someone with 1000AWHP, they'll be looking for more. Such is the never ending battle.
Do it right, or don't bother.

Thanks Maser! Although I can't take credit for that. We had an excellent guide that is local to the area.

Too funny and thanks for posting this!!! It's a very common condition known as "Advanced Complacencyitis." I've been diagnosed also and there's no cure! I've had US muscle cars from the 70's through the 90's then got into SUVs, missed the power & speed and got back into another sports car then I thought I grew up and got an A4, missed the power again but wanted to stay mature and mindful of finances - realized I could kill 2 birds with 1 stone and get a power sedan which "bang for the buck," was my current Ford SHO bought new for under $40k and with less than $2k in mods I have 648 crank HP - puts down crazy 1/4 mile times and it's a daily driver!.....still not enough power or speed! I NEED ANOTHER & BIGGER FIX!!!

Power is nice, but in your case .... it's mostly in a straight line which can get boring quickly. As I get older .... I am more interested in how the power is packaged.

already use to power after 1.5 weeks!

Buy a used slow car for a daily. :-) it makes stepping into your fast ride a reminder of the power and may very well save you money. An old used reliable Honda for example. This way you are also reminded of the fit and finish between the rides. Keeps me satisfied.

I have an idea, get a stage 1 or 2 APR tune. Load a valet mode, 91, 93, and 104 tune setup on it. The tune alone should be a wonderful feeling. Then switch to 91 on a daily drive, 93 should be a decent difference enough to give you a bump where you can feel it. If you're really wanting a surprise, drive around in the valet mode. The car will be a dog, and you might not want to get on the highway as you will be easily pulled on by a Prius. But when you go back to 93, miles of smiles. :-)

Oh, and you always have a 104 for beast mode.. Lol
