Performance wise sumitomo or hankook is not comparable to PSS. The aspect I give up the most is wet grip and possibly cornering (due to softer sidewall). However, consider the price difference and I'm living in SoCal where seldom gets wet I eventually made my choice.
Depending on your wheel width, 275 could make your tire look more 'square' than 'rounded', (I don't know if my word makes sense but it's just the appearance), if your wheels are narrower than 9 inches, it's possible that the tire will bubble out of the rim a bit, some people actually like that since it protects the edge of the rim. (I don't think rs4 rims will be narrower than 9 inches anyway)
If your wheels are really 9 inches wide I really recommend going for 255 coz 255 tires are more common than 265 so cheaper, not to mention you have more options.
