Low oil pressure after upper oil pan removal

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I had an oil leak at the upper oil pan. Removed, cleaned sealed.
    Ditto lower oil pan.
No have 'blinking red oil can' for low oil pressure warning.

I don't think I applied to much sealant so that squeezed out pieces could come off and plug oil pump pick up screen.

But I noticed that the oil pump pipes all had O rings on their ends (reused). Is it possible or common that those O rings are not seated properly or otherwise leak and cause the low oil pressure?

Aside from taking the lower oil pan off again (to gain access to the oil pump), any other checks?

I assume the oil pump did not just go bad from being removed and reinstalled?

    Other ideas?

Thanks, will check. But it is fairly evident that there actually IS low oil pressure (much louder valve clatter than before).

Is the oil pick up screen removable and replaceable? I do not see an obvious way to take it off and clean and/or replace.

It is common for an o ring that is old to change shape and start to flatten out. If it gets reused it most likely will not sit exactly the same way and will leak. I just did this and noticed the oil pump pipes don't have the most sturdy mounting design.

Before I assemble (new pump, new O rings) AGAIN:
    - what about filter bypass valve? Is it in the filter, or in the pan/housing/else?

The oil filter bypass would be in the filter itself. Maybe this would be helpful:
