ECS Exhaust Tip Replacement

Has anyone tried the ECS tips? I believe our OEM inlets are 2.5" so these should be direct fit

I am thinking to convert my awe 102mm (4 in) tips to 90mm (3.5 in) but normal 3.5 in tips leave a larger distance between the tips because my exhaust is designed for 4 in tips.
These swivel ones might help so I can adjust the distance between the tips.
Not yet tried but really thinking to do.
This can be a good option for people who want to convert their 4in tips to 3.5 or vise versa

Planning to pull the trigger and get these my diffuser comes in. I'll let you know whenever I get them, but I'm thinking you would have to cut off the stock tips and weld these on for them to fit properly.

I doubt they slide right over your existing tips. It says inlet is 2.50, go measure.

You mean like paying close to $2000 for an exhaust that max will give you 10hp? Spending 150 on an X pipe + 300 bucks on tips = 400-500 bucks with iinstallation is a bargain if you ask me.

Sure it won't but after hearing an awe track exhaust I dont think paying an extra grand is worth it but to each his own, all I was saying was 500bucks wasn't too bad of a deal

i've been searching for an extra set of tips for AWE touring with 90mm tips. the inlet is 60mm which is about 2.36" and hard to source. only thing i've seen is from ijdmtoy at $80 a pop.

man AWE was smart with that. they made their exhausts with "custom" tips in a size that isn't readily available. so basically if you fork over the $$ for their exhaust, you have to pay an extra $250 just for a set of tips. i mean yeah $250 is better than ijdm tips at $320

I'm interested in these also. Looks like you'd need to cut the weld bead on the stock tips so they slide off of the existing pipe, then file down any residue as necessary, slide the new tip(s) on and clamp.

Is it possible to fit a tip with 2.5inch (63.5mm) inlet onto the awe exhaust which has an inlet of 60mm? Since these things utilize band clamps, is it possible to tighten it enough to hold onto that extra 3mm of space?

Bumping a 2 year old thread? Bravo. I'm confused at your post. I had APR Tips welded up. Stock tips needed to be cut and fabricated for new tips. Easy day.
