A7 driver side door handle cap fell off!

Has this happened to anyone else? Randomly noticed the cap/cover to the key part of the door handle was missing! I don't think it was tampered with in my garage but also seems unlikely it'd just fall off while driving?

Anyone know where would be the best place to find a replacement piece other than the dealership? Are there clips needed? I can't figure out how this piece stayed in place and how it fell off.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

    Looks like it's just a push/snap fit.

Thanks JKWelsh. Anyone know a good place to order this part in the US? I guess I would need to take it into a shop to get it painted as well. Such a small piece for paint

For such a small piece, ld just spray can it.

Grey undercoat, couple of coats of matching black (from the dealer - the paint code will be under the hood) and a clear top coat. Probably $15 max in cans and about 2 hours work (allowing for drying time between coats)

I doubt a shop would take it on as it's such a small piece.
