Trounced an M5 DCT yesterday

I was running up a hill yesterday and approached an M5 crawling through traffic. It was interesting watching him brake / go with his DCT, left arm leaning on the window and right hand on the wheel and it got me thinking how much fun my 6MT is, even in traffic. There's just so many more things to play. Toe-toe (I can't heel-toe), rev matching etc back and forth between 1st and 2nd.....

Anyway, I powered past and beat him on the 1/4 mile, but I had a rolling start. The run continued the next 1/4 mile and I just beat him to the lights by a couple of car lengths. I think I had more fun than he did.....

Oh, I agree too. I don't think his throttle went further than 10% - he was bored in the traffic I think. My fivefinger vibrams help my traction pretty well tho and let me think about my S4.

You'd need to be running a stage 2 race gas tune to beat him in the 1/4...

Yes indeed. I was like Rocky at my 1/2 mile win - the M5 DCT guy LOL'd which broke his boredom. I wish it happened 31st Mar but it really happened yesterday.
