Im still holding out for the possibility of a manual and hoping for numbers close to what the GTI/R and A3/S3 are at. Thats the perfect combo that the wife's already okay'd me on.

Software:
The ECU was a challenge. It's a new Flexray system, meaning we had to start all over again. But, we cracked it, updated our local flashing tools, updated our logging tools, calibration, and editing software, located the maps, and finally went to work making more power. On the dyno, we're up a good amount and have taken power to levels similar to what we see on the new Audi A3, except at all 4 wheels through the new DL3xx S-Tronic transmission. It's making this platform quite a blast to drive to say the least. We'll still need more time under our belts to fully tweak and vet the product for release, but it's comforting to say we're past the first major roadblock (cracking the flexray ecu) and on to having more fun!

Hardware:
We have a couple items out already that cross over from other platforms (turbo muffler delete and boost tap) and we're working on everything else you'd expect from us. Expect to see several more hardware releases from us in the future as we work hard on this platform over the coming months and years! As we're closer to release, I'll begin sharing some more photos. Till then, we'll be keeping the prototypes tight lipped for competitive reasons.

Driving impressions!

I finally got done with some stuff around the house and took it out for a few laps around the neighborhood. Keep in mind it is 1:00 am here so there is no one around. The car is an absolute blast, it feels like a go kart. Almost zero turbo lag and awesome acceleration. The B9 driving feel is significantly lighter than the b8 platform and the new 2.0T is amazing with APRs beta software. It accelerate MUCH faster than stock and has grip for days thanks to Quattro. 0-70 mph come very quick.

Just a tidbit, this car is my wife's daily and I daily either a Q7 or an APR stage 1 S6 (soon to be stage 2).

I still find it very enjoyable and can't wait to log some serious miles on it over the next few months. I'm sure the very large Intercooler will keep the performance nice and snappy in our 100+ degree houston weather!

+1 I rode in it last night. It pulls good! Definitely fun from the passenger seat too. :-) The intercooler is eye candy.

At water fest they had a demo car , claiming 310,hp and 375 tq... I assume to be stg1 flywheel numbers!...
