    Angry diff mount issues

    I have a 1.8t quattro with manual transmission and when i shift i feel a bump from the back. I say in the back and had my friend drive and could feel it. also happens if im cruising and just let off the gas. any help?

    Most likely your rear diff mount is on its way out.

    It might also be your drive shaft cv joints.
    1999.5 A4 1.8TQ APR III, Ecs diff mount, apr snub mount, raceland ultimos, forge splitter.

    15+ year old Audi. I would check all your mounts (engine, trans, snub, diff, diff carrier) and your driveshaft bearing as well. It's definitely an annoying problem to have, could be any or all of the parts mentioned contributing to it.

    Rear diff carrier bushings and a stern power ring are nice cheap upgrades and a good place to start.

    Past:

    - B7 avant, 3.0t swapped
    - B8 S4, Stage 2+
    - B6 S4, not stock
    - B5 S4 Clone, built motor, 2871r

    Thanks man. I will do all of that. Should I use oem replacements? For the snub I might get the one from apr
