Oh hell yeah... makes you wonder what even a Stage 1 car would look like!

I got behind a P85D a few months back in Hollywood, and at one point he got on it really good... he was likely surprised to see me still right on his ass! Hehe

Nice knowing they can be taken down with ease, with a Stage 1 car. Probably a closer race stock, as the Audi seemed to get a bit of a jump in that video.
Arguing with an engineer is a lot like wrestling with a pig... After a couple hours you realize the pig likes it.

Rode in my friends sp90d today. Obviously insanely fast. Didn't like the interior. Seats were hard, not comfortable. Made me like my a6 c7 seats. Audi interior is infinitely better. Factually true statement btw. Nice car, but for 100k, I could do better.

I must admit, I am impressed with the implementation of Tesla's autonomous driving system. I know Audi was in the lead in developing and implementing such systems but Tesla and potentially Volvo seem to be leaving us behind.

I think the key problem currently with autonomous driving is the fact that our current infrastructure and road system is simply not adequately setup for it if at all. For an autonomous system to be actually reliable, safe, and time saving the car will have to communicate with the road system, other cars, and even bicycles and pedestrians. Currently these smart systems are for a lack of a better term not smart they follow basic "if then" statements but in reality this will only get you so far. Because the largest unpredictable problem is people, animals, and acts of nature that nearly impossible to predict with out some integration in to the infrastructure to make these systems work seamlessly.

I'm just wondering why those two guys thought it necessary to wear their little brother's sportcoats during those drives!! I'm no lightweight either but the first thing I do is chuck my sport or suit jacket in the backseat before I drive.

Wondering if that Tesla had a full charge it would have pulled away on the drag race?

I was reading something about 6months ago about why Audi was waiting to release it on consumer vehicles and it was because in their eyes it's still 10years from being safe to use. They said no matter how smart current systems are they can't predict everything and that humans are still best left in control. It's just not safe or ready for prime time. The accidents the Tesla's are nearly getting into proves this. A human still has to keep the car from crashing. It's a massive liability currently for tesla to put their beta software out on public roads. The less of these things driving them self about the beta. Until all cars are communicating with each other and the road its not safe to use it.
