LED headlights. Should they have a straight cut off line?

Sorry if this has been covered already.
I've had my s3 for about a week and not really driven it much at night until this week. I've noticed that the beam pattern isn't clean like my other cars with projectors and xenon bulbs. This output isn't a straight line, it kinda seems like regular halogens on a standard housing with no defined cut off line.

Can anyone with LEDs chime in? Would like to know if it's something I need to take back to the dealer for.

    Thank you all.

My light pattern isn't as defined as xenons, but not as diffuse as halogens. It's kind of in-between.

To be honest, I actually think xenons look more sophisticated. I love the other aspects of the LED package, but the headlights themselves are kind of lame.

Yep, mine is the same as well. LED lights doesn't have a straight crisp line as a HID Xenon headlights.

You guys have the LED turn signal which is nice... the amber bulb turn signal on my xenon is ugly.

Mine looked flat out bad the first couple nights it was dark enough to notice, like they weren't aimed correctly at all. Took it to the dealer and after looking at it they said both lights did indeed need a recalibration and were not aimed correctly. Made a 100% difference and haven't had any issues since.

Right after switching from the Xenon's on my A5, I'd say the LED's are brighter with a wider range just in front of the car, but the Xenon's are brighter as you get to the termination line of the lights, and the LED's do not have the clear cut termination line because they aren't in the same type of projector housing as the Xenon's. I still prefer the LED's overall look on the car, turn indicators, and their color temperature. Now a year later the differences in light output are nothing I notice anymore.
