    3.2L - What motor oil are you using?

    Hey Guys, for all of you with a 3.2L engine, which brand and viscosity rating of motor oil are you using and hows the consumption?

    Motul 5W40
    It consumes about half a litre every 6-7k kms.

    I used Castrol Syntec. I believe that's what my dealer used. I had an A4 3.2 Avant for a little over 5 years. I had to add a liter between oil changes. They were scheduled at every 10,000km

    Thats not bad, I am using mobil1 10w-30, its eating up 1L every 700kms!

    Perhaps because years ago the national board that monitors, tests and rates all oils for public use downgraded the Mobile oils to a lower tier.
