Which would you choose as your primary wheels?

When I bought the car, it came with 2 sets of wheels. 1 are RS6 reps (20x9, ET47) and the others are OEM 20's that I had powder coated 60% flat black gloss (20x8.5, ET45). I'm loving the looks of the black ones I've had my winter tires on, and am about to purchase summer tires (still debating on 265 or 275's, leaning towards 265/35's to minimize any potential hassles). Not sure if I want the RS6 reps to be the summer set, or the winter ones, or perhaps have the RS6 reps painted in some way to bring in a darker color / black more prominently.

Your black OEM one looks a lot better than your flower wheels. Lol. I kid. I was going for the RS6 reps right up until my fiancé says they look like flowers.

I never thought I would get black wheels but they do look much more aggressive. They also look way better in person than in pics. (Just the nature of black wheels)

I will say I get way more compliments one the black than my old gun metal ones. And my gun metal ones were a very popular design.

Personal preference, your black wheels make your car look aggressive, unique, and makes a statement. I'd use these for summer.

I can only take credit for the black OEM pictures which I took with my Canon 5DM3, the 70-200 2.8 IS Mark II, and 3 flashes (and then did minimal touch-up in Lightroom). BTW, my favorite shot from the session was the one I put the least amount of effort into :)

I believe you. Those shots just look magazine quality.

Have you thought about plasti dipping your rs6 wheels temporarily? Just to test and see how you would like them darker? Or maybe even... Bronze?

I vote for flowers!!! But I am biased! Lol, I see the resemblance but I still think they look damn good. I wouldn't mind to having them a shade darker though!

I'll usually dip something to see how it will look, if I really like it then I start looking at more permanent solutions.

For reference this was a pic of a dark gunmetal I had for my snow tires against the grey, just put on the summers and got the suspension done last week. Not lowered in this pic.

I like the black of the S6 wheel, but the style of the RS6... Ha! Tough call - you can't go wrong with either setup though...

Go with the flowers. It's a great look. I'm just not a fan of the OEM 20's. But you did upgrade them and they do look much better after you converted them into a beast mode color scheme.

I think previous owner got them for ~$950. Seeing I didn't pay for them explicitly, I'm trying to think about it as $600 for a set of wheels I'll really like.
Not sure if there are less expensive options, but will hunt around a bit.

Just looking out for ya brother. The shop I go to quoted me $300 to paint the lip of my rims. They said that doing this actually takes longer to do than painting the entire rim.

Dropped the wheels off today to get powder coated. The shop has a C&C machine that will then remove the powder coating on the 'outlines' to get the finished product like the above. Going to go semi-gloss which should net out as a similar finish as my winter wheels. 1.5 weeks to get it done, and I'll put the PSS 275/35/20's on it that just came in from Tire Rack, too. I'll post back with installed pics when the time comes :)

That looks really good. I'm thinking about grabbing a set of these off of eBay. I think they are the same ones, replicas with gloss black but machined face. The only thing that worries me is the quality of the wheel. Any insight on the wheel quality?

Now that is awesome! Saw the original pic of the 3 wheels a couple years ago and fell in love with that one immediately. I belie they're an RS6 only option.
