    Brake issues: intermittent soft pedal

    Hi all,

I just got front and rear brakes done on my 2015 s4. Indy shop. I'm certain they didn't release the EPB properly when doing the rears and they had no scan tools or vag com.

Now the pedal is generally firm but goes soft under hard braking for a split second before forming up again towards the floor.

Do I have air in my lines? They did a manual bleed (no power bleeder).

    Any other ideas?

    A.

My limited experience, makes me surprised that you need the brakes bled. However, perhaps the process allowed some air to get back in at/near the calipers. If you've needed the brakes replaced so soon, perhaps might consider learning to do them yourself, gaining confidence in the repairs; I've recently replaced my brake fluid with new, and found the process relatively simple, and I can go to the track with confidence in the repair. Good luck!
