    2.7T ko4?

I've owned my c5 a6 2.7T 6spd for 1.5 years now and I am lead to believe the car is ko4d.
I was told to check for black inlets, but the ko4s I have ready to install came with silver inlets...
Just want to know before I have to go through hassle of pulling motor
    The modes are as followed:
    Full straight pipes (piggies+decat)
    R1 dv
    Rs4 clutch
    unitronic stage 2 tune
    Wot box
This is judged on my kills and last night I ran a full bolt on stage 2 ms3.
We did 3 pulls from 2nd gear 50-60km and he could not keep up
This is not the first time i have pulled an upset...
I've blown sti's, Gtis, and g35s out of the water and have walked races I was sure to lose.
I have been spectating this forum for years, anyone with a ko3d or ko4d a6 give me input.
    Cheers

I'm not stage 3 and I've surprisingly never driven a stage 3 2.7T but my stage 2+ does walk my friend's 6-speed Unitronic MKV GTI.

If you know that you're not tuned for K04 and you don't have injectors or fuel pump then I'm not sure the turbos alone will do anything for you. You might just have a nice and strong K03 car.

Experienced members will know more than me though.

Look at the turbo ID tags.

Yep. You can see the turbo id tag from under the car. I ran k04s with no additional mods on a stock tune for a while and it was quite quick

as said roll under there and check the turbo ID. should be able to see the compressor housing from the drivers side underneath
you might have a stage 3- setup which is essentially stock everything with ko4s and a tune. hard to imagine someone would upgrade the turbos and not mention it to the new owner
full "stage 3 " setup the aftermarket maf would be a dead giveaway.

there is a huge difference between ko4 and ko3 power though.

Yes ko4s are defs no joke in the top end, which is why I am shocked.
Mazda speed 3s are known for top end and leaving ko3 b5 s4's in the dust at around 140kms, not the case.
I will check the drivers side today and let you know.

Didn't know that about Speed 3s. Always thought they were kinda cool.
