    2 codes, maf sensor?

Car felt a little weird with my stage 2 tune in(and i usualy drive on stock tune to save turbos) Reflashed back to my stock tune. Then went for a drive and at the first stop light car started to shake at idle and the abs/traction controll lights poped on. Then went away and the car ran fine again. Pulled over checked codes and it was p0103 maf signal too high inermitten. So i cleared codes and once agin 5 mins later stoped at another light at idle the car ran like shit and abs/traction controll popped up) then went away. Drove 20 mins home then looked at codes and have the same p0103 and an addition to that it has p1557 positive boost deviation code along with partial ltfts at -10 and -8.

Could the maf cause the ltfts and the p1557 positve boost deviation? Or do i have 2 seperate problems one being maf related and one being boostleak related

I cleaned maf a month ago, and the month before that . I think its finally dieing out. On a random pull going straight in 3rd gear the traction controll pops up and i loose power till i let off. It doesnt happen alot st all but evry once and awhile it does it. And i know this could have to do with trying to calculate the load from maf values

1500 rpm is reading 8 g/s and 2000 is reading 10g/s right now. And neither codes have poped back up in past 4 drives (to and from works 25 miles each)

Also noticed the black wire on my maf sensor plug is just cut soting there woth no were to go.... is this normal?

Car is a 2001.5 it has hitatchi maf and the suction jet pump going from accordion to brakebooster hose also.

I'm pretty sure that black wire is a shielding wire to keep electrical interference from messing up the Maf readings to the ECM so that's why it doesn't attach to the connector. I had a car that was throwing your same faults and it ended up being a bad throttle body boot causing a vacuum leak that would throw off the Maf readings and activate the ESP and Abs lights. After replacing the TBB the issue never returned.

Sometimes codes are just downstream issues. You have to get to the route of the problem. I see what you are saying though. It doesnt make sense if the TBB is ripped you'd think the MAF would be too low since it cannot suck enough. Maybe its the issue. Maybe its not. Worth checking out. Just do a pressure test and who knows maybe you will uncover other issues.

Cool thanks alot will have to do boost leak test tonight,(havent done one for a month) i have a new maf to put in if needed now. It hasnt thrown a code or acted weird again since that day.and the fuel trims are -5% like normal so not gunna throw in the maf yet.

    Did you receive intercoolers btw?

    Awsome good luck!

    Update
Did a boostleak test again today and cant find a single leak
So pulled off the y pipe and checked the 2 green check vavles... those both work fine. Blow one way only .
My fuel trims are +/-4% and cars been feeling fine again.... i realy wonder whats realy going on here. If something was broken it shouldnt be intermittent....

You should log your requested vs actual boost and see what kind of deviation there is. Then graph it.
