Who has Huper Optik Tint?

As the title says,
Who here is using Huper Optik tint and what % do you have?
Trying to gauge which % to go to and everyone's experience with it.

Was looking at doing maybe 20% or 30% but have heard horror stories of "Ghosting" in the tint from the heat and have seen some pictures of it online...
The ghosting is essentially a discoloration in the tint around the window area.. checked it out on google and sometimes its minimal and others its huge...

I have 70% all around, in whatever their top ceramic is. I wanted the UV/heat rejection and just a slight tint. Almost two years in and nothing bad to report.

Hey aj6 do you have any pics of your car? I want to see what the 70% looks like.
I just had 40% around and 70% on the front windshield w/ (3M Crystalline), but the 40%
seems a bit too dark for my liking and I was thinking about going with the 70% around.
I'm also getting a weird reflection off the defroster lines from the headlights of cars behind me (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...efroster-Lines) So I think I want to change them.

i plan on doing 70% crystaline all the way around and then do the sunroof with a much darker shade.

I don't have any issues with the defroster lines, I'm surprised that's a thing. I'd definitely make it a point to address wherever you go for the install.

I see you are in CA..... of course in CA it is illegal to tint anything but the rear portion of the car. You can't legally tint the front roll downs or the windshield. Of course we all have seen cars with all the windows tinted including the windshield. Now, here's the thing, if you do not care about being stopped and potentially having the cops look into your car and possibly write you a ticket which will result in a transfer of your funds to the city/county/state. Not something I would encourage. I always operate under the premise that the less interaction one has with law enforcement, unless it is initiated by you, the better. Good luck.

Thanks! I will look into Huper Optiks I believe there is a tint shop in my state that installs it.
Hate to have to repay but I can't deal with the defroster line problem with the 3M film.

I usually get a middle to high end 3M sheet or something similar.
the highest end sheet, similar to HO is far too expensive considering the length of time I keep cars.
it's around 2X the price of a very nice looking and effective sheet.

I have Huper Optik Performa 35% rear and 70% front.
I have had no issues other than the defroster lines on the rear windshield. Although I have gotten use to it now, so it doesn't bother as much.
The rep told me this was normal and that really nothing could be done to eliminate it.
I have asked around and a lot people do have this same phenomenon.

I will probably to a little more research on what tint doesn't give this effect before I tint my wifes GTI.
