I have a b6 a4 1.8t. Nothing on my column works, my horn is shot, my wipers and high beams don't work. I know they all work, they worked before everything was torn down, but now I get nothing.

Sounds like we're missing some information here. Have you been able to run any codes? What kind of tear down was done?

Is there a question in here, or is it just a statement?

Did you check to make sure the battery is fully charged? Check fuses?

You mention everything was torn down. What were you doing?

I don't know how related the wiring is between the three, but sounds like maybe you have a bad ground wire?

Since you dissembled the steering column switches and control module, it is most likely you overlooked or forgot to plug in one of the harness connectors into the steering column control module when the SCCM was reassembled. Another likely possibility is one or more of the harness connectors is not fully engaged into the SCCM socket properly.

Sorry for the delay, I swapped out my airbag and had to take the center of the steering wheel apart. After I did that I have no function from my wipers, headlights, brake lights, or signals. They all worked before a timing issue sidelined me for about 7 months or so.

    Update:

I disconnected EVERYTHING from the steering column, checked all of the harnesses for loose wires and everything was in tact. I never thought to check the other lights, so I checked my brake and reverse lights and they do not work either. So now I don't have : Low Beams, High Beams, Indicators/Turn Signals, Hazards, Windshield Wipers, Horn, Brake Lights, Reverse Lights...basically all of my exterior lights are shot. When I turn my key to "OFF" in the ignition, the dash stays illuminated and gives me this headlight signal with a "/" through it. I have to turn the headlight switch on and off to get it to go off...

If you are sure all of the wiring harness plugs are plugged into the steering column control module, the only other cause for this problem is a defective Central Electric Control module, located under the left dash above a horizontal row of relays. The CECM controls all of the exterior lighting as well as the wipers and hazards, horn etc. If you have VCDS, you can view the exterior lighting and wipers/horn for activation OFF > ON > OFF in the measuring blocks of the CECM as you operate the lighting and signal/ brake light switches. Also check for fault codes.
