    B8 2.0T won't start

This morning during my drive the oil pressure warning light came on. Pulled off to the side and turned the car off, now it won't start. I'm guessing the oil pressure had to do with my engine leaking oil, I think I lost too much before topping up. No mods, 65,000miles. The engine just cranks and never fires up. Changed plugs and coils, still nothing. Tried starting with battery charger hooked up too, nothing. Compression checked it and it only showed barley 60 pounds on each cylinder. Any insight?

I would think that you'd get a flashing low oil light before low pressure seizes the engine. How long did you drive it with the low oil warning?

    Something else might be up...

you went from no light to 'oil pressure light' and then still drove it home 5 miles?

I would tow the car to a mechanic and start shopping for a used engine. It will probably be cheaper than fixing your short block + cyl head. Very possible your cam chain tensioner failed.

I'm not sure what to think but driving it with a failed oil pump is not a good idea. Was the light solid or flashing?
