Question: How Do I Attach OEM Wheel Center Cap?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So one of my center caps have fallen off a while ago because the knucklehead of an owner before me broke one of the clips on the cap and tried "gluing" the cap to the wheel with some goop and his little DIY didn't last. I bought a new set of caps and removed the jizz off the wheel that was left and can't for the life of me attach the damn thing. Any suggestions?

    They're the stock alloys btw.

Bought the wrong one maybe? Would imagine that they should just pop on, so to say.

They're the right ones, model number matches up and they're identical to the ones on the car. I managed to remove one a while back and also had a tough time putting it on and have no understanding of how I did it.

They literally pop in. Do you have the metal c-clip that goes behind the cap in place?

It takes some force to get them in there, don't be shy. They do just pop in.

You're probably not lining up the notches on the wheel to the divets on the back of the centercap.

This. Make sure those D looking notches line up. That was the issue I first had when trying to very forcefully try to get those caps in.

Thanks guys! That was my issue. I literally almost lost my back just trying to get those in but I finally got em in when I lined those notches up. At first I was lining it up with the valve stem which worked for 3 of the wheels but the last one so I appreciate that.
