Anybody that has the 2.0t coil pack conversion care to share the size and thickness of the adapter plate, as well as spacing of the coil pack holes and bolt holes?

Plastic is better, you want to minimize heat transfer to coil

Those plastic one suck. If i remember correctly they do not even seal the opening properly and those clips get stuck inside the threads where the bolts are suppose to go and then you have to sit there with a needle nose to big them out. You most likely wont have to remove them for awhile but its annoying. You would also have to get some gasket paper and cut out a piece so that it seals properly. I have adapter plates that some guy on here was making and they still did not seal correctly. Water got itself down to the spark plugs on 2 cylinders.

/\ what part isnt sealing with the OEM touareg adapters? I only ask because I have them on my Touareg (obviously lol) and have not noticed any sort of problem with contaminants getting into the plug chambers.

From what i remember the openings on the b5 are slightly different than on the Touareg and it leaves a gap right around the corners when using these plates. I believe someone posted a pic of the gap on the 2.0 teaser thread.

Adapter plate sizes are discussed on this thread.
