The wife is expecting, and I am looking for something a bit more family friendly. BMW 328ix sportwagon is headed my way.

We have a ten-month-old son and the S4 is perfectly adequate for a family of three. I am not trying to dissuade you from selling the car, more just a tip if you want another mid-size sedan instead of a wagon.

I think the Golf R is a great choice for a family vehicle, but my wife hates hatchbacks.

I checked out the Golf R, it was alright, certainly going to be a tight fit with the baby, stroller, and packs. the order has been placed for the BMW, and I am pretty happy with it. The S4 would have handled the baby no doubt, but i think going for a new ride is where we are at.
