Car wouldn't start this morning 1st time ever. B8

Hi All,

- So this monday 45 deg F morning i tried to go to work and start my 6MT 2010 B8, and the starter would crank but would not fully start even giving it gas it would almost start then die. All lights and radio was working. I tried maybe like 4-5 times more and nothing. So i used my Carista App.
- Then after i check the faults i saw the parking brake was on the list, i then unlocked and locked my parking brake. I tried to start again giving it gas and it finally started.
- Any ideas of what the problem was? i think cleaning my engine bay.

A bit of info below

1) day before i covered my coil packs with garbage bags and had the engine cover on, cleaned my engine bay with all purpose cleaner and sprayed a thin mist in my engine.
2) night before came home from Easter dinner and my parking park was blinking malfunction.
3) Edit i just ready : Esp and brake malfunction warning lights = bad mass air flow sensor.
4) i also changed my reverse lights with LEDs and been have errors codes and haven't changed them.
5) i have a sub and amp and 1.5 farad cap. I have not received a low batt message before.

Strange.... I would think you can remove Any codes having to do with the led bulbs as they may not be error free, also i myself get the 3157 all the time and that one is usually caused by the tune2air in my glove. Having all the other issues i would totally blame on the engine wash.

i dont think the wash did anything to produce those codes. i just washed my engine last week and didnt even bother covering the coil packs. when was the last time you changed the battery?

i never changed it. I tried using the carista app to enable hidden menu to see the battery level. but my MMI doesnt have it. Will find out the battery level with a tester. thanks !

Cars been running fine every since and has not had the same problem. I don't have a battery tester, any recommendations?

So u just sprayed a mist off water to clean your engine bay?

yea, sprayed it with water. sprayed simple green, agitate then rinse off. then just get a blower to get most of the water off. then start it to completely dry off.
