:: ECS Tuning :: NEW!! ECS Transmission Mount Bushing Insert Kit

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!

Our new performance transmission mount kit will Harness the Power of your Audi Engine and Transmission through Advanced Design Methods and Materials.

ECS Tuning's Performance Transmission Mount Bushing Insert Kit offers a more engaging driving experience, with crisper throttle response and reduced driveline slop without increasing cabin NVH.

The most experienced enthusiasts have learned that an engine that is routinely pushed past the factory-specified stress and flex tolerances requires special accommodations in order to operate consistently at and past the limit.

    Features include:

    • Reduction in transmission movement
    • Melonite coated steel backing plate for increased durability and corrosion resistance
    • Polyurethane bushing insert to reduce drivetrain deflection while keeping noise vibrations associated with such modification to a minimum
    • Increased drivetrain rigidity and response
    • Long-term testing performed on multiple vehicles for real-world qualification
    • Included hardware to replace the factory torque-to-yield bolts

Installed one 2 weeks ago on my '13 allroad - already have 700+ miles on it. No vibration, and I do notice better response for sure. Good addition for the price! And only took a few minutes to install.

This looks intriguing. Anyone else have feedback? Will it work with the 8 speed AT?

Can a noob like me install this himself? (full disclosure, I have a basic set of tools and can change my own oil and can swap out my own seasonal wheels)

would be interested in a comparison between the two...i have the 034 right now, and am not liking the amount of vibes...if this is significantly less, i may jump on this.

This will definitely not transfer as much NVH as a solid insert due to the poly construction. It's a very simple install, you just need to be sure you grab the M10 triple square socket otherwise you wont be able to take it out. Its listed in the original post.

This mount fits both manual and automatic transmissions.

Installed it over the weekend and it literally took 2 minutes. Jacking up the car was the worst part. The car feels great, shifts feels more firm there is no added noise from it and acceleration and deceleration feel way better. Definitely worth the money!

are you really experiencing that much vibration? i currently have 034 street density motor mounts, street density trans mount and there Billet Aluminum Transmission Mount Insert insert along with both Billet Aluminum Rear Differential Mount Insert (Front) and Billet Aluminum Rear Differential Carrier Mount Insert (Rear) and have minimal vibration when cold but only at idle the moment i start moving all vibration go away. after a mile or 2 when the engine and drivetrain are complete warm all vibrations go away completely even at idle.

I am experiencing incremental vibration, and its annoying...whether its "that much" I dont know, but its annoying. It became noticeable right after the install of the 034 drivetrain mount package (trans mount and diff mounts)...my wife noticed it immediately after install when i parked at a coffee shop and ran in while she was in the car with the kids.

Now, maybe by coincidence, when I had these installed, my engine mounts started to deteriorate (although I havent seen any fluid and they look OK upon inspection, but what do I know), but the timing of everything leads me to believe its the 034 kit. I wouldnt have any problem with it were just me, but I have to think of the wife and kids...its most noticeable at red lights, idle, parked...yes its worse when cold, but doesnt get materially better once the car has warmed up.

I'm going to try the ECS version, and also am getting my engine mounts professionally checked just in case I'm putting blame in the wrong place.

Out of curiosity, do you have automatic or manual transmission?

i have a 2010 A5 2.0T Quattro with a 6spd manual but since the a4 and a5 are basically identical and the a4 community is a lot bigger i spend most of my time on this side

Installed mine last night on my DSG. Very very easy. Only issue was not having the correct star pattern bit to remove the OEM bolt. Used an allen wrench to get it off without any issue. Glad the kit comes with a more standard allen wrench bolt for the install. Notice a little smoother shifts, but I havent drove it hard yet.

I finally got mine a few days ago after over a month of backorder. It's ok because I got 25% off with the ECS holiday sale.

Excited to install it, maybe tomorrow. Will report back after install and a week of test driving. ZF8HP.

CVT isn't going to make as massive of a difference as you're not physically connected with the shifter (where most people feel some of the difference). But is is going to ad rigidity to the driveline eliminating some play so as BeerBrent said, you'll still feel a little difference.

Installed this in my 8 speed tip last weekend. Install is super easy, the hardest part is jacking up the car and making sure it's safe before you crawl under.

I definitely notice a positive difference when driving. Shifts are a little bit crisper and I feel a little more connected to the road overall. There is a slight, very slight, increase in NVH when I'm sitting at idle. It is just a little bit of added vibration. Overall a positive improvement to the driving experience.
