How to get that brand new car drive feel back ?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I'm going on 125000 klm and obviously the car doesn't drive like it was new off the lot.
My question is, where do I invest my money to achieve that off the lot smoothness and comfort?
    Thanks

Refresh all the suspension bits. Creaks and cracks in the interior compartment would need the pressure clamps replaced

This is the bit I'm going through, even though it wasn't the harshest of winters this year. Construction due to the nicer weather on the other hand, and pot holes from it have been really destroying the suspension. This is what I am looking towards below. Got a new set of rims for summer so make sure everything is nicely balanced and take care of all the other bits

not really sure what kind of responses you are looking for here? your op wasnt super detailed or descriptive, but all things considered if you car has been properly maintained, and any repair issues are addressed, the car should for all intents and purposes be fit as a fiddle...

if the engine is rough give it a tune up
if the suspension is floaty and loose, replace with oem equipment or aftermarket
if your tires are worn, replace them

ive ran many cars into the 100k plus range and people cant believe how good my cars look and also feel when driven, but you gotta do all the preventative stuff and also repair/replace things if they break.

Thank you, car has been to every scheduled maintenance And very well maintained. I guess my question should read, what part of the suspension will likely improve the quality of the ride the most in order to get that off the lot feel.
The reason for this post is, I got in my friends 2016 Acura TL, and you can tell its brand new, and I would like to get my car as close to that new feeling as possible without having to replace a bunch of stuff that doesn't need to be replaced.

if you want the car to feel tighter/sportier i would look into aftermarket suspension, and get a bigger rear sway bar paired with the alu-kreuz and it will feel like a different car.

    This...

The car will never feel like it did new.
It's like a leather jacket - it breaks in and becomes what it will from wear... maintain it and it will last for ever. Don't maintain it and it will crack and look like crap.

If you want to improve the way your car is today - that is very achievable. What mods have you done so far? If none... then I'd say do springs and dampeners... Shocks don't last for ever and those OEM ones are probably the most worn part of your suspension right now... so do a lil drop and replace the shocks too with some Bilstien or similar sport shocks (do not simply do lowering springs alone)... go with Coils if you can afford it. Sub frame mounts are great additions to this platform... I'd suggest that... If you have a MT car then do a short shifter. That made a HUGE difference in the driving experience for me. If you have the original B8 steering wheel I'd highly recommend upgrading to the B8.5 flat bottom wheel... really modernizes the interior and actually made the steering feel a bit more direct given it's a smaller wheel...

Something nobody has mentioned yet is wheel alignment. If you drive your car year-round, winter roads take their toll on alignment. A cheap thing to do is to take it in to a reputalble allignemnt shop and have them check that. Also, ask them to asses things like suspension bushings etc. As they get some slop beat into them by rough roads, the "tight" feeling of a new car goes away.
