i'm getting misfires under low acceleration in the low RPMs and when the engine is cold.

how do i go about cleaning the TPS? could this be O2 sensors going bad?

i have the APR stage 2+ setup.

I've noticed something similar. Not every cold start, but most, it happens and comes with a deeper exhaust tone for about 30s of low rpm acceleration and then bucks a bit before normal exhaust tone and acceleration. I switched from REVO stg 2 to JHM 1. Since noticing it, I have replaced the DV, n80, pcv and breather hoses. No codes either.

Do you have an O2 spacer by chance? I didn't need one for my 034 HFC and REVO of course, but had to install it for the JHM.

    i don't have a o2 spacer.

the engine also flutters +/- 100 RPM when cold and cruising. once warm it's fine. these issues may be related.

another forum is telling me it may be the injectors-plugged or leaking.

That flutter sounds like classic torque converter/valvebody failing. You're tiptronic yea?

yes. i did a search here and a lot of folks have this issue with the kind of mileage i have. i read some folks here changed the fluid and even the torque converter with no better results.

Yea I can't be of any help, sorry. My old b7 had the issue pretty bad, so rather than dump money into a car that I was meh about and a transmission I disliked, I traded it for my current b7. Also this was back when only OEM Audi fluid existed and the cost of changing the fluid and filter was close to $600 in parts alone. Which I deemed ridiculous.

i ended up just using the lucas fuel system treatment and it worked great. no more misfires and RPM flutter when the engine is cold. i saw a bunch of carbon out of the tailpipe after one start up. the engine feels more powerful too.

i used this stuff before in another car and it didn't make any difference. i'm glad i kept the bottle and decided to use it for the 2.0T.

Wont make any difference to the valves though. Next weekend, im doing a full intake removal, carbon clean, timing chain and tensioner, new cam follower and injector orings etc.

Not to highjack, but anything else i should consider while i have it apart? - my own thread here: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...5#post11521725

well the car sat for two days and the misfire came back. there must be some restrictions in the gas lines due to deposits of solids over time. wouldn't the fuel filter code come up though? or low fuel pressure?
