Modified Milltek cat-back with piggie downpipes (not completely cat-less)

A friend of mine is a very skilled welder that did a couple of welding courses at F-Town in Germany.
Last week we did a small modification on my resonated Milltek cat-back. We took the middle resonated section off and made a custom straight section; so a non-resonated section (with fake resonators due to various TüV laws in our country).

Here is the video of the end result - I will make a better quality video when I have the time (This was the first pull directly out of the shop)

Weird, I've gutted my milltek downpipes and have their non-res catback and it doesn't sound nearly that crazy.

Interesting and weird. I got:
- OEM downpipes with the pre-cats removed (replaced with a straight piece of pipe) and the OEM catalytic converters still in, due to yearly rigorous exhaust gas measurements
- Milltek resonated cat-back, that is now modified into a non-resonated cat-back with the middle resonated pipes exchanged with custom made piping

Maybe you're due for a Carbon clean, I remember even when the exhaust was resonated that the carbon clean changed the exhaust note above 6k rpm.

My footwork has improved over the past year compared to when I bought the car. From all the work on the car, the most I try to improve is my own ability to drive.

sounds great but a little deceptive because of where the camera is located.

I would say that it sounds even better when driving bye as I had my GoPro in the underwater case and the sound wasn't as crisp as it is in reality.

The first video in the thread is an example of a short pull with the exhaust being cold - it "cracks" the loudest when cold during shifting from 1st to 2nd.




I have another video but here I botched it up, because the limiter kicked in at 7k rpm while revving and I had TC on. Starts @00:28

Second car was an R32 if I'm not mistaken. That sound is pretty difficult to replicate.
