Audi A5 aftermarket side mirrors installation labor?

Hello guys, i just bought 2 aluminum matt (look like s5) mirrors and i brought it to the shop for installation and the guys said that to take out the old side mirrors and install the new one would be very expensive. I bought the mirrors for only $150 on ebay but i dont want to pay a fortune for it to install. Is any one on here did the swap? and how much is the labor cost? I rather vinyl wrap it than pay like $500 for it to be install. Thank you

To remove the mirror caps. Heres a link on how to do it.

Start on page two where you take the glass out.

I agree with doing it yourself. I will say if you have the pre-facelift A5, getting the blinker indicator squeezed into the housing could be a delicate process. The facelift mirror is much easier as the indicator sits below the housing and not within it.

Might want to take some pre-worker supplements before doing this btw, but EASY DIY MOD!

Like others said, do it yourself. The first one takes 55 minutes and a lot of nerve and the second one takes 5 minutes. You will know what I mean when you do it.

Tried to swap out my turn signal when one of mine went bad. Couldn't get the wire off the glass and didn't want to break it. Said F it and took it to my local indy shop to get it taken care of.
