Airbag question for Avant rear seats.

I'm trying to remove my rear seats semi permanently and I discovered there is an airbag connection that goes into the wider fold down portion of the seat. How can I unplug this and still maintain the airbag system, and not have the airbag light on the dash?

    Appreciate any guidance.

Unplugging any airbag will turn on the airbag light on the dash next time you turn the ignition on.

To prevent this you will need to fit a resistor in place of the airbag.

I understand it will trigger the light. Hence the post.

I'm asking what is the solution, what ohm resistor would I use for this airbag?

    Thanks

I did a Google and it's not clear what value resistor you need as it seems to depend on many factors but it looks like it's somewhere between 2 and 3.3 ohms.

    Thanks for the help.

Here is a pic of the one I'm referring to. Is this an airbag in the seat or a sensor? Don't see why it would be on the 60 portion of the fold down and not one on the 40 side.

    Bottom left hand corner.

If there's an airbag in the seat it will be a side airbag, so somewhere on the side of the seat will be a small plastic "airbag" badge as a warning that there's an explosive device in the seat.

No airbag badge on the rear seats. So what is it?

That's my guess, but why only have a sensor on one side of the rear seat? The other isn't connected in anyway.

I just want to get these out without an airbag light.

Sensor for seat fully locked in upright position for seatbelt warning light?
