Ordered the Capristo

Thanks Mops for the great price; now for the long wait. I was considering the Akrapovic, sounded great on my E92 M3, but after reading all the posts here it appears Capristo is more what I am looking for.

Well, got the package yesterday; a bit surprised to see the entire exhaust fit into an 8 inch box. Opened it up and found a bolt and some washers. Seems like an expensive bolt, might be for NASA's next lunar probe.

No problem Mops, stuff happens. I got the FEDEX shipping notification today. Now I get an extra week of waiting for it to arrive anxiety. Even bought a new hydraulic lift, pinch weld adapter and jack stands for the occasion.

Toughest exhaust ever to install, took 4 hours and the muffler hangers were all bent up. No biggie, small crowbar straightened everything out. Toughest clamps ever to tighten...not crazy about Allen bolts. Anyways, no better sense of satisfaction when something fights you every step of the way. I ended up paying the busted knuckles "blood toll." Overall, once I got everything sorted out it went in without a hitch, nice fitement...too bad it is under the car, because it is one good looking system. Adjustable hangers are a cool feature I never saw before.

Sound is awesome, no radio and windows down from now on. Should sound even better after a few hundred miles. Extremely happy.

Trying to decide between this and Akrapovic as well hopefully before the end of the year. How are you liking it 2 months later? Do you have an intake as well?

Mine gets installed tomorrow, I'll pop up a some pics of the install and sound clips with valves open and closed. I've never heard a sound clip of the exhaust valves closed but I was assured it was as quiet as stock sports exhaust.

Sound got a bit deeper/better. Real Jeykle and Hyde system...quieter than stock with valves closed; all hell breaks loose with valves open...love it.

No intake yet, that's the next mod. Going back and forth between the ECS and Eventuri. I like the Eventuri more, but it is pricey.

I had the full Akrapovic Evolution on my M3...best sounding car ever. That system deleted the primary cats and replaced them with some high flow. Titanium is pricey but nothing else sounds like it. Iconel comes close. I just didn't want to pay the extra for the Akropovic, and most people who bought it for the RS5 said it was too quiet and ended up replacing their resonated downpipes. Everyone universally praised the Capristo which is the main reason I went with it.
