those products aren't really sold for appearance or quality of the product but rather for the warranty. They are typically underwritten by a third party that will cover a limited list of damages if the dealer can't fix the issue. back in the day when they were popular, think single stage paints, acid rain was all the talk. today most dealers will just buff or sand out any issues and then buff making them real money maker sales.
Anyways i was wondeong if anyone has dont like a natural orbital buffer and a wax sealant on the same car.
? not sure I understand? can't see anyone who has used an orbital not liking one. priceless results for not much work and near zero risk really. Sealant wise, there are many different ceramic nano coatings. most are decent, some better than others, etc. the key for many is they tend to darken up the paint a bit thus why they are popular on black cars/dark cars. can be not as desirable on metallic finishes. Just have to select the right one depending on the color.
Overall, I like them but they aren't fool proof products. They don't prevent scratches but they will reduce micro marring if someone is so inclined not to learn proper drying techniques. I personally only used them once as I tend to touch up polish my cars which will remove the coating so they aren't much use to me. On black you can obtain the same look from a few coats of a quality glaze and some hybrid wax. Lots of good options.
Can you tell me which last longer, looka better, and overall is more safer. Something about putting on a instant wax like (paint sealant) feels to me it degrades the paint overtime. It has a very strong alcohol smell.
If you're not looking to fuss with your car a good nano coating will last 1-2 yrs. Most all are decent. They aren't going to degrade the paint at all. Neither will proper polishing. Tell us more what you're looking for and I will be happy to chime in with some more information.
