Any exhaust recommendation for a deep tone?

Was wondering if there are any exhausts that I can add to my car to get a deeper tone when idling and throttling kinda like the RS? I don't really like those racing higher pitched ones :)

Downpipe(s) usually provide a deeper tone.

If you have an RS5 then my advice to you is that nothing needs to be changed to sound like an RS5.

In that case: sell car, buy v8 4.2, buy AWE track lol :)

My colleague has the same exhaust in his 3.0 v6 - it drones like crazy, even with the resonated AWE dp's.

I'm running the CTS pipes on a 2.0T and it sounds great (no coffee can ricer drone) if they have one for the 3.0 I'm sure it sounds even better.

That's because it does not sound as deep or nearly the same on a 3.0 v6. My colleague at work has the AWE Track on his 3.0. We ordered and installed our exhausts together. Though his car's sound improved from an exterior standpoint, the interior drone is unbearable for my taste. The 4.2 v8 does not have that issue. I would not advise the AWE Track on your car; try the AWE Touring instead.

your colleague's exhaust is f'd up. mine with the stock dps drones much less than the v8 awe track did.

with that setup the drone was unbearable so i eventually ended up replacing the non res dps with the stock dps. now it barely drones.

Could be, but he got the v6 specific version and I got the v8 specific version. He even got the resonated dp's which are supposed to filter the drone even more. There are also multiple threads of owners with the same issue on their 3.0's. One incident may be an exhaust problem...multiple incidents? Probably not the exhaust. Just my $0.02 from personal experience.
