OPEN DOOR message, where is the switch?

Morning all, a couple days ago my dome lights and the open door message in the cluster came up, door was closed. Now it happens all the time, I am driving, go over a bump and the open door shows up on my cluster. It is also giving me trouble locking the car so I want to fix it this weekend. Is the switch located in the actual latching mechanism? Thank you for any info.

I'm gonna guess that your problem is probably in the wiring. Check the loom that goes into the drivers door

will pull the rubber cover later and check the wires, if nothing is evident then I guess I will pull the door card.
